Headphones jack Surface Laptop 3 and Windows 10 To help you get around, here are some diagrams for Surface Laptop 3.Ħ.

The UAC prompt policy is pushed by Intune.Surface Laptop 3 has power and style to help you get things done throughout your day the way you want. This is a business device and it is AAD Joined (No Hybrid/AD just pure native AAD). I think this is a problem with Windows, can anyone share if they have same issue? Trigger a UAC prompt and try dismiss it using a PIN.Īnyone else experienced this? I have been googling for days and coming up with nothing. I did clear the TPM before the last reset for good measure. The TPM seems to be functioning fine, Bitlocker enabled etc. Of course there is no smart card reader to malfunction as it is a virtual smart card, a certificate that lives in windows attested by the TPM. I can't seem to get anyone from Microsoft support who know how to trap and trace Microsoft issues.įorcing me to swap my literally out of the box brand new laptop for a refurbished unit is an insult and not a remedy. I don't want a refurbished laptop! This is a brand new $3,749 AUD laptop that is not even 1 week old why would I want a refurb? I have been trying to get support from Microsoft on this issue, and their "fix" is to send me a refurbished laptop. Strangly, the face ID works fine, however I don't want to use the Face ID I prefer to use a PIN, and so I am going to disable Face ID once I get the PIN working. I have removed the device from Azure AD and rejoined it (to force a new PRT and such incase it's a signing issue), but still I get the same error message in the UAC prompt and in the windows error log. I have reset the laptop using both the cloud and local windows options, erasing all content each time. My SL5fB is the 13.5" i7/32GB/1TB model, and the issue is it doesn't work when using a PIN to provide admin priviledges in a UAC prompt (I can use the PIN to sign into the device though strangely).

I have had a Surface Go 3 previously which never had any issues like this. I just bought a brand new Surface Laptop 5 for Business last week.
